Emerald Chat RPG is a long-running RPG conducted over AIM, in existence since 2002. The RP is primarily science fiction and fantasy; story- and character-driven. This wiki is intended as a reference and resource about the world we play in, its history, characters, and creators, for veterans and newcomers alike. Anyone can contribute to the story, just as anyone can contribute to this wiki.

[edit] Recent Updates 10-28-09

Alllrighty!

First off, we seem to be getting busy with editing again, for which I rejoice. Secondly, in light of no objections, I am going to be making the edits and deletes for the Lists pages that have their own categories. This includes: Locations, Characters, Storylines, and Players.

The navigation template will be updated to link to the categories rather than the Lists pages, and the Lists, after verifying that every linked page does indeed reside in an appropriate category, will be deleted.

Additionally, I will be placing all User pages in a new "ECRPG Players" category.

Other planned updates are a Technology template modeled after Terg's description of the SCPD ART, a Substances placeholder tag in the navigation template, and a complete overhaul of the Locations-related pages - I'm already working on this using Talk:Valgris as a mini sandbox to plan out the content of the page (and help myself with the map...), also following the Development Thread.

Hey all, Ali here. I'm working on beefing up the wiki this summer, and you all should too. I've created a page template for Races - you can find it in the Sandbox. Forthcoming are:

• Powers/Magic
• Location
• Technology
• Bestiary
• and whatever else we may need...

I'm still at work on the Editing Guide, figuring out a way to make it prettyful and usable, since apparently the one-page look doesn't go over well with people. Get to work! And go ahead and talk about it! (yes those links are all different.) AlishaShatogi 21:13, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

A Featured Article (FA) is an article of the ECRPGWiki that displays what I (Sak) see as the pinnacle of page design. FAs are the standards that the Wiki should uphold.

In order to be labeled a FA, an article must:

• Be complete. Not necessarily complete, as in will never need new information, but must not be a stub.
• Be well formatted. It must properly combine Wiki formatting and HTML to create a pleasant reading experience.
• Be readable. Sentences must be complete, information well explained, lacking walls of text.
• Meet page criteria. If someone reads the page looking for information on the subject, the reader should learn something about the topic. A page must also contain the ECRPGWiki template, at least one image, and proper subcategories.

To date, the named Featured Articles of the ECRPGWiki are:
